I hold Russian ADRs—can I still convert them to ordinary shares?
Not at the moment but we hope for conversion to be possible again soon. EAHCISS keeps members up to date with guidance on the latest procedures and legal options.
My broker won’t convert or transfer my securities. What can I do?
Unfortunately, this is a common issue. We monitor such cases and collectively act against brokers or custodians acting unlawfully.
Can I still invest in Russian or CIS securities?
Generally speaking, only Russia and Belarus have come under sanctions restrictions, while other CIS-markets remain fully available for investment. The regulatory environment is ever changing, so please join us to stay up-to-date. As there are still certain options open for investing, we aim to publish a guide to keep you fully informed.
Am I entitled to unpaid dividends on my ADRs or Russian shares?
In many cases, yes. We explain the different rules that apply to ADRs vs. ordinary shares and how to pursue your claims.
How do I claim my dividends if I cannot do it myself?
You can authorize a legal representative in Russia via a power of attorney. We connect members with trusted professionals for this purpose.
Can I take legal action if I’ve suffered financial loss due to sanctions or broker misconduct?
Yes. EAHCISS supports members in identifying legal avenues, including collective claims.
How does EAHCISS keep members informed?
We share updates via email, our Telegram channel, and a members-only portal on our website.
Does EAHCISS engage with media or lawmakers?
Yes. We advocate publicly for the rights of investors and have been featured in outlets like Bloomberg. We also engage with policymakers to seek clarification or change in sanctions legislation.
